Out of the box, it has many of the joins and measures needed for most Power BI reports and you also have the ability to pick and choose your tables. Uses an ODBC connector. I tend to pull my own tables and joins so have more control over model and data. Very powerful and saves you alot of time in building models.

QQube does have schedued refreshes. Refreshing every 15 min? The other tool I use is QXL, this is more raw, but you can get the tables you need and connect them. Refreshes can also be scheduled.
